I received an estimate via email quickly and the follow up was great. The owners advice and tips came in very helpful when packing and getting ready, something I appreciated and helped to save me time and money. It was a good start to the moving process as well, because the more stuff you move, the more you pay, so if you can sell, get rid of, give away or throw out you’ll be better off in the long run. Let me say that you think you don’t have a lot of stuff, only to realize you have a lot of stuff. One of the Calgary owners came out to our condo to do a site survey, give us an estimate and go through the moving process with me. What impressed me from the start was the attention to detail. So I spent some time doing my research and calling around until I found a real family friendly company that met our budget called ‘You Move Me’. And finding the right movers at the right price can be a challenge. With so much selection and choices when it comes to movers in Calgary and having made a cross country move a few times, I know that moving can be expensive.
We love our friends and family and truthfully, I think by hiring movers, our friends and family love us even more for it. We all remember those days when we would coax our friends into helping us move with the promised pizza and beer afterwards … well those days are gone for us. Once the reality of the move settled in, the first thing my husband and I decided was that we were going to hire movers. Our little family of 4, was finally going to have a place of our own, a place to put down our roots and call home. Excitement, nervousness, elation, anxiety, all the emotions came tumbling in at the same time, but we were ready to make the next step in our family journey.
